Four taxi horns/bulb horns tuned a, as1, b1, d2 for the new critical edition of Gershwin's "An American in Paris".

Background:
Dr Mark Clague is Professor of Musicology at the University of Michigan and editor of the Gershwin Critical Edition. Based on a review of archival recordings from the Ira and Leonore Gershwin Trust's 1929 collection, he argues that the taxi horns traditionally played since about 1945 were not intended by composer George Gershwin. The letters A, B, C and D merely indicate which horn is to be played and not the pitch.
