It is not difficult to produce tricky rhythms on instruments like a drum, bongos or xylophone. It is quite a different matter with the conventional ratchet: its uni-directional rotation and often uncomfortable hold make the performance of the notes partially impossible. With the newly developed model series "Raganella ritmica" excellent fast rhythmic passages with a dynamic range can be played.

Unlike conventional ratchets with uni-directional rotation, with the crank handle the musician is able to turn the roller of the ratchet in both directions and thereby create the rasp sound. Fast tone repetitions can be performed effortlessly and above all precisely by turning back and forth. Difficult to play passages, such as Resphigi "Pini di Roma" are now playable.
